Another Swim Day!

We went swimming with my two cousins, Sydney and Sarah at my great Uncle's pool. Hayden had so much fun. At times he would rather play right on the outside of the pool where the water would splash over. I bought him one of those swimsuits with the floatation device built in. It was okay, and he didn't seem to mind it too much. I also bought floaties, but they were defective! He loved jumping in the pool and watching others jump in as well.

Here is where we got our first taste of pool time for summer. We went to Sydney's 9th birthday party! First Hayden had some fun with bubbles and his cousin Natalie. He was trying to catch him as best he could. Some of them got away and disappeared on him! Then we went and got into the pool. He loved it. It was shallow enough for him to run around. And he ran around! He loved jumping in. We just put our feet up and relaxed (yeah right!). It was a lot of fun though.
Until next time,

Swim Time

We had a swim day in the back yard. Hayden had so much fun. He was a bit scared to go down the slide into the pool at first, but he got the hang of it!

Fair Time

Our church fair was this weekend. On Friday night, Brett and I took Hayden to ride rides and play games. On Sunday afternoon (in the swealtering heat) Nana and Tikki came over to bring Hayden back to the fair.

We played lots of games. Hayden went fishing, picked a duck, and played Tic Tac Toe.

The cars were Hayden's favorites. We went to a fair a couple of weeks ago and he screamed everytime I tried to take him off. He loved these.

We went on this slide~ Krisite is a wonderful photographer! She got our feet! It was fun though.

Hayden got a motorcylce tattoo!

Here are some shots I took while playing in the back yard.
Until next time,

Spring Break 2009

For Spring Break, we headed on Carnival Cruise Lines to Mexico! We visited Progreso and Cozumel. Hayden had a BLAST and loved being on the ship- eventhough I was scared to death that he was going to fall off. Here are some photos:

this is a photo of hayden in our stateroom- one of the only places I let him go without holding on to him!

In Cozumel- SWEATING- It was so HOT!

Looking off the boat from the top deck- where the splash park is located. We are in the port of Progreso.

Splishing and Splashing with Nana.

Here is Hayden with my EMPTY strawberry daquri glass. Nope, Hayden - eventhough there is no drinking age, which Kristie was well aware of- Mommy still has rules! No Drinking for Hayden!

He really enjoyed the fact that you don't have to be in a carseat! He loved riding on the bus.

Hayden is dressed in his LSU pj's ready for a late night show on the ship.

The girls, minus Kate- She opted for a new washer and dryer instead! She better get to buying those!

Hayden and his cup of ice! He sure loved being a big boy and having his own cup.

We had a blast! I still have two other blogs to do that came before this! Egg Day at the Broussard's and Zoo Day with Tiff! Those will be coming soon!
Until then,
Kim & Hayden

MBS Egg Hunt & Carwash

Hayden went on his Egg hunt and found some eggs. We only got a few, but he found a very special one!!! The golden egg!! Since he found it, he got a huge purple plush bunny. It was as tall as him. After all the egg hunting, we sat down and had an Icee treat. He loved it and it got VERY messy!

Hayden and Brett (the best guys in my life) did a great thing for me. They washed my truck!!!! and had a great time doing it.

Thank you boys!
Until next time,

Easter Egg Hunt

We went on an Easter Egg Hunt today at church. Hayden had such a good time. He picked up his eggs and threw them into his basket. Once he saw all the kiddos around him doing it, he was ready to go. It was great practice for the big day.... Easter! After all the eggs were gone (which took about 1 minute!) We went under the pavilion and opened all the eggs to see what he got. Candy! Lots of it, too! His daddy will sure be happy about that.
More Easter Posts are sure to come!

Spaghetti, Vaseline, & Big Bird

Hayden sure does LOVE spaghetti. He really loves it when I let him eat it like a big boy. He ate all of it. Well, some did end up in his lap. None landed on the floor. He used to not be much of a spaghetti fan when he was younger. I guess now it's more FUN to eat!

Speed and Hayden checking out BIG BIRD and the rest of the Sesame Street crew at the live show. They had a blast. Hayden stood in his chair or on my legs and danced away. He clapped at the end of each song and dance routine. He loved it. Giggles and more giggles came from this child that night. It was great to bring him. I remember going as a little girl. It was special for me to bring my baby there. Along for the ride were all of his first cousins, Nana, and Tikki.

The pictures you've all been waiting for! The vaseline incident. I was taking a bath not two feet away from this sneaky little one! I was quietly reading as I glanced over to see why he was being so quiet. That's when I called for Brett to bring the camera. He took the vaseline out of the drawer and pasted it all in his hair. This child doesn't put things in his mouth like all other babies. No, he puts it in his hair! (I guess that is better than in his mouth, though.)

We tried everything to get it out: shampoo, corn starch, dawn dish washing soap, baby powder. Everything! It is STILL not out! He is sleeping with baby powder in his hair tonight. Tomorrow morning I am going to try noxema- as per my grandmom's request. We shall see?????

Until next time,

Kim & Hayden

* Special Prayers sent to cousin Brooklyn. She is in the hospital with dehydration. Other tests are also being run. We pray that test results come back great and she is out by tomorrow.
