Happy Thanksgiving 2009
Uncle Heath took Hayden for a ride on the "tractor" to cut the grass. Hayden loves this tractor. He played on it most of the day. It's one of his favorite things to do with his PaPa, Mimi, and Uncle Heath.
Yummy Turkey Dinner! Actually the only thing he wanted to eat was his Mimi's rice dressing. He loved it. We had it for the next two days! (also pictured are my mom- his nana-, and my maternal and fraternal grandmothers)
Hayden and his Mimi going to cut the grass on the tractor!
Putting together the new oil-less turkey fryer. It took the men quite a while to get it put together (Papa, Grandpa, Rhett-a-roo, and Hayden). They eventually got it and started on the turkey- which was done two hours after we were done eating! LOL, But it was delicious! Brett is making turkey gumbo with the leftovers=)
This was in preparation to turkey day. Hayden colored on this turkey for a couple of days until he had it perfect. Then we put in on the fridge for decoration.
Now onto planning for Hayden's second birthday! He is getting so big!
Until next time,

Trick or Treat!!!!!
Our little tiger went around the neighborhood- joined by Mommy, Daddy, MiMi, Pa Pa, Mrs. Brenda and his red wagon. He was dressed all in tiger with an LSU jersey underneath. He carried around a Spider Man basket!

painting pumpkins
We've had a pretty fun month! October is one of my favorite times of year. Cool weather and all. Hayden went to the MBS (my childhood church) fair and played PLINKO- at least I think that's the name of it =)

Then we decided to paint pumpkins. He was interested in this for about 10 minutes, then he was ready to play. He seems to be like that now a days. Interested in things only so long until it's time to move on.

Nana and Grandpa got a new playset at thier house. We had a playdate with Speedy rotten and Hayden decided that this is how you are supposed to swing. Everytime we go play, he swings like this. I'm going to have to get it on video. It's so funny.

It's a.............................
BOY! That's right! Hayden is going to have a little brother.
Here is a pic of me at 20 weeks pregnant with my lil guy. Hayden and his daddy were so excited about the news of a boy baby. Go team BLUE!!!!
Here is how we told our family:
I made blue and pink cupcakes. Everyone came over and choose what they thought we were going to have. If they thought boy (MiMi, Paw Paw, & Grandma Laurie thought blue) they picked a blue cup cake. If they thought girl (Aunt Katie, Nana, Grandmom, Tikki, and Tiffany) then they chose a pink cupcake.
It was all caught on video and very cute. We are very excited to be having a little brother around here. I can't wait to dress him up in all of Hayden's old clothes. We also found out that Hayden and his little brother will get a new boy cousin in January :)
Until Next time,

Yogi & Boo Boo at Jellystone Park
We headed to Robert, Louisiana with my family for the weekend. We stayed at Jellystone Park with Yogi Bear and Boo Boo! Hayden had a blast. We went paddle boating, swimming (down a little water slide), painted ceramics- and Hay Hay the Bad!, tie dyed t-shirts, fed ducks (and chased them, too), rode on golf carts, ate big breakfasts, listened to swamp pop bands, ate snowballs, had a marshmallow roast, and all out had a good time! Then we headed a couple of miles down the road to the Global Wildlife Center. We fed giraffes, deer, bison, lamas, and all sorts of other creatures. We will have to go back soon!
Until our next adventure~ (we are going to see Chris Shivers this weekend),

Baton Rouge Zoo Visit
With Brett on vacation this week, we decided to take a couple of trips. We headed out to the Baton Rouge Zoo. When we arrived, we hopped on the train. Hayden was NOT impressed by the train ride. He didn't know why we had to go on a train ride through the woods and see hardly any animals. (We only saw a couple of ducks) Next time we go to this zoo we may take the train that goes inside the zoo instead of outside!
We found a pond with a bunch of fish and turtles. We fed them some food. Then the ducks came up and stole all the food! LOL Hayden didn't mind looking at these animals.
We watched an Elephant show! It was very neat. Hayden needed a boost on Daddy's shoulders to see the elephants do tricks. I hadn't seen an elephant show in a long time. This was one of the highlights!
To finish off the HOT day, Hayden enjoyed a blue bubblegum snowball. He loved it. It was a nice cooldown for him, too.
Until Next time,
Kim & Hayden
