Pumpkin Patch

Today is Brett's day off of work. We decided to take Hayden to his very first pumpkin patch. He is all dressed in him pumpkin outifit. He had a blast. He kept getting really mad at me for picking him up off the ground. He wanted to crawl around and play in the straw and with the pumpkins. We found all sorts of pumpkins....fat, skinny, tall, short, green, orange, red, yellow, bumpy, smooth, hard, round and even one inside a teepee!
Hayden had a really good time (eventhough we didn't choose a pumpkin). They were very expensive. We are going to purchase one and decorate it later. Then we will put it out for Halloween.

Audubon Zoo

For my birthday I took Hayden to the zoo! We went to New Orleans and stayed at the Harrah's Casino Hotel. Early Wed. morning we walked to Cafe du Monde and ate bengniets. Then we headed out to the Audubon Zoo. Hayden seemed to have a really good time! Take a look:

Most Blessed Sacrament Church Fair

Last weeked Hayden went to his first MBS fair. I have been attending this fair since I was a little girl. I was so excited to bring Hayden. He was able to play the games and have fun with his cousins. Brooklyn had a blast and hung out with Hayden a lot. Hayden played the game where he had to pick a duck from the pond. He won a duck whistle. Then he played a roll ball game. He had to roll a ball into a slot with a number on it. He did so well! He got $4 in Pelican Cash (which we gave to Brooklyn). Oh Brooklyn!!!!! Ms. Mae was so afraid of a clown there. Her daddy told her to punch him. I asked her what she would do if the clown came by her! And you'll see...

Halloween Costume

Vote for the Halloween costume that you think Hayden should wear!

I don't have the pic of the dino costume, but it is the one from Target.

Hayden has a cold

Hayden already has a cold with snotty nose and coughing(and it's not even cold outside yet!) He doesn't feel well at all. He was up all night last night, the poor baby couldn't breath. I took him to the doctor today and he said to just let it run its course, unless it gets any worse, then to bring him in again. I just hope he doesn't get an ear infection or something. Even though he is sick he is still as active as ever. He is just playing with everything and getting into anything he can find. I didn't post any pics because he looks so bad! He has a scratch on one eye from his fingernails (from rubbing at his nose and eyes so much last night) and today he hit his other eye on a table. He is just full of bumps and bruises.
Hope to have better news at the next blog.

Playtime with Hayden

Hayden loves to play! He is always crawling on top of, under, or through something. We recently took down our Halloween decorations from the attic. Hayden decided he wanted to look through these items, but first he had to get to them. Therefore under the table and through the chairs the went, all with a "I'm not doing anything wrong here" look on his face.

The next day Hayden decides he wants to check out what is in the cabinets. He gets up on his tipytoes to reach the knob and opens the cabinet door.

Oh, this is the cutest thing ever.... When I let Rhett (the dog) out, Hayden waits at the door until he comes back. While he's waiting he tends to eat things on the floor. Then he lets me know when to open the door. Rhett is such a good babysitter. LOL.

Hayden went to the Chick-fil-a playplace on Wed. and he had a blast. So I brought him again today and we invited his cousins. He had so much fun, he wanted to play wiyh all the big kids.

Needless to say, Hayden and I will be back to visit the play place.
Hayden also has a new trick. (It must be because it is almost Halloween.) Anyway, he gets out and stands up on everything. He can get out of his walker, his outdoor swing, a grocery cart all while he is strapped into these contraptions and he can almost get out of his play yard. I don't know what I am going to do with him. I don't have any pics of these escapes because everytime he does them I am trying to save him from breaking his neck!
Love y'all,

Lately I have been taking Hayden out in the back yard to play. He loves the grass. At first, he just pats it, then he starts crawling around. The past couple of days have been so nice, we went to a picnic, and are planning a trip to the zoo. Hayden has been to the zoo a couple of times (but not when the weather was nice). I can't wait to go. He may actually look and see the animals this time.

Until next time,
