Easter Egg Hunt
We went on an Easter Egg Hunt today at church. Hayden had such a good time. He picked up his eggs and threw them into his basket. Once he saw all the kiddos around him doing it, he was ready to go. It was great practice for the big day.... Easter! After all the eggs were gone (which took about 1 minute!) We went under the pavilion and opened all the eggs to see what he got. Candy! Lots of it, too! His daddy will sure be happy about that.
More Easter Posts are sure to come!

Spaghetti, Vaseline, & Big Bird
Hayden sure does LOVE spaghetti. He really loves it when I let him eat it like a big boy. He ate all of it. Well, some did end up in his lap. None landed on the floor. He used to not be much of a spaghetti fan when he was younger. I guess now it's more FUN to eat!
Speed and Hayden checking out BIG BIRD and the rest of the Sesame Street crew at the live show. They had a blast. Hayden stood in his chair or on my legs and danced away. He clapped at the end of each song and dance routine. He loved it. Giggles and more giggles came from this child that night. It was great to bring him. I remember going as a little girl. It was special for me to bring my baby there. Along for the ride were all of his first cousins, Nana, and Tikki.

The pictures you've all been waiting for! The vaseline incident. I was taking a bath not two feet away from this sneaky little one! I was quietly reading as I glanced over to see why he was being so quiet. That's when I called for Brett to bring the camera. He took the vaseline out of the drawer and pasted it all in his hair. This child doesn't put things in his mouth like all other babies. No, he puts it in his hair! (I guess that is better than in his mouth, though.)

We tried everything to get it out: shampoo, corn starch, dawn dish washing soap, baby powder. Everything! It is STILL not out! He is sleeping with baby powder in his hair tonight. Tomorrow morning I am going to try noxema- as per my grandmom's request. We shall see?????
Until next time,

* Special Prayers sent to cousin Brooklyn. She is in the hospital with dehydration. Other tests are also being run. We pray that test results come back great and she is out by tomorrow.

She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy!
On Friday, March 20th we drove over to MiMi's house for her birthday. Hayden got to go for a ride with his Paw Paw Keno while he was there. It was his own little amusement park! He had so much; he didn't want to get off. He loved the riding lawn mower. He went in circles for quite a while. Hayden had a BLAST!!!!
He didn't want to get off! Mi Mi put him on the rocking horse. He wasn't too sure about it! I think he still needs a little more practice before he tries that again.

Hospital Visit
Last Tuesday night Hayden was feeling VERY bad. He started vomiting and wouldn't stop. First thing, the next morning I took him to the doctor. He told me to keep him hydrated. All day Hayden slept. Everytime I woke him up to give him pedialyte or food, he tried a little bit and threw it up. He couldn't keep anything down. On Thursday morning, I was either going to take him to the doctor or ER because I knew something was wrong. He wasn't acting like himself. He wouldn't walk, and could barely hold his head up.
My sister convinced me that the ER was the best place to go. We went straight there and he was in fact dehydrated. The nurse started an IV and gave him some meds for his fever. We stayed there all day long. The doctor decided to let us go home when he saw that Hayden was feeling better.
Now- exactly a week later-Hayden is FINALLY back to normal! Thank God.
Until our next adventure,
Kim & Hayden

Dipping & Driving
The other day for lunch Hayden enjoyed some hotdogs and ketsup. He dipped his hotdog in the ketsup and ate it up. It was so cute. He didn't make too much of a mess. He also tried to dip his strawberries, but that didn't taste too good.
Paw Paw Keno and Grandpa Laurie came over to help put up our broken fence. Before they left, Hayden decided to take a little drive with his Daddy. He thought is was so cool to sit in the driver's seat and play with the steering wheel.
The next post will be about Hayden's ER visit. He was hit with the Rotavirus :( he is not fully recovered yet, but will be soon - HOPEFULLY!
Until then,
Kim & Hayden
